Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.
Note: The Holiday Lane Closure Restriction runs from Monday, Dec. 19, through Monday, Jan. 2. Only closures with demonstrated need (e.g., necessary for safety or to avoid lengthy construction delays) have been approved and are on this list.
The Kuhio Highway southbound contraflow will not operate on Monday, Dec. 26, Friday, Dec. 20, and Monday, Jan. 2 in observance of the holidays.
— KAUMUALII HIGHWAY (ROUTE 50) —
1) KALAHEO
Right shoulder closure on Kaumualii Highway (Route 50) in the eastbound direction between mile marker 11.7 to 12.7, in the vicinity of Wahiawa Stream and Papalina Road, on Tuesday, Dec. 27 through Friday, Dec. 30, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for utility work.
— KUHIO HIGHWAY (ROUTES 56/560) —
1) WAILUA (24/7 CONDITION)
Right shoulder closure and narrowed lanes of Kuhio Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction between mile markers 5.7 and 6.7, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and Kapaa Bypass, for the Kuhio Highway Short-Term Improvements.
2) WAILUA
Closure of Kuhio Highway (Route 56) in the northbound bound direction, at mile marker 5.9 to 6.6, between Kapaa Bypass Road and Kuamoo Road, on Wednesday, Dec. 28, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for highway reconstruction and repaving for Kuhio Highway Short-Term Improvements.
