–Parking lot at Nāwiliwili Park closed starting Nov. 29–

LĪHU‘E – The Department of Parks and Recreation (DOPR) announces that a portion of the parking lot at Nāwiliwili Park fronting Kalapakī Bay, in Līhu‘e, will be closed starting Tuesday, Nov. 29, for repairs due to damages caused by the high surf over the weekend.

DOPR crews will be closing the parking lot and driveway section of Nāwiliwili Park to make the necessary repairs. Park rangers will assist with the closure effective midnight, Nov. 29. 

Officials anticipate the repairs will be completed by Wednesday, Nov. 30, weather permitting. Updates will be provided when the parking lot has been reopened.
