Department of Public Works issued the following announcement on Nov. 12.
The Department of Public Works is announcing that portions of Waimea and Kalāheo will have periodic lane closures to allow Pacific Preferred, a subcontractor for Maui Kupono Builders, to conduct striping and pavement marking work from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., weather permitting.
Work is scheduled Nov. 16 to Nov. 20 along Makeke Road in Waimea, as well as Hokua Road, Polaris Road, Pu‘u Kulana Place, Pu‘u Road, and Papalina Road in Kalāheo.
Please make the appropriate arrangements to accommodate the necessary road closures, use alternate routes, and allow for extra time to get to destinations.
