Kaumakani ranked 126th among cities in Hawaii by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of Kaumakani residents was $24,943 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 240 households with a population of 975.

The city with the highest median resident income in the state was Olowalu with $64,167 per year after adjusting for inflation – $39,224 more than Kaumakani. It had 53 households with a population of 91.

The city with the lowest median resident income in the state was Hawaiian Ocean View with $11,015 per year after adjusting for inflation – $13,928 less than Kaumakani. It had 1,640 households with a population of 5,011.
