— KUHIO HIGHWAY (ROUTES 56/560) —
1) WAILUA (24/7 CONDITION)
Right shoulder closure and narrowed lanes of Kuhio Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction between mile markers 5.7 and 6.7, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and Kapaa Bypass, for the Kuhio Highway Short-Term Improvements.
2) WAILUA
Alternating closure of both lanes of Kuhio Highway in either direction between Kuamoo Road and Kapaa Bypass Road for Kuhio Highway Short-Term Improvements, Monday,
Dec. 5, through Friday, Dec. 9, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Northbound traffic will be detoured onto Papaloa Road. A single southbound lane will be open on Kuhio Highway between Kapaa Bypass Road and Kuamoo Road beginning at 8:00 a.m. Left turns will be allowed from Haleilio and Kuamoo Road intersections on a trial basis beginning Thursday, Dec. 1. Contra-flow will complete set up at the normal time of approximately 5:15 a.m. and will be taken down between Kapaa Bypass Road and Kuamoo Road at 8:00 a.m. Contra-flow will be taken down between Kuamoo Road and Kapule Highway beginning at the normal time of approximately 11:15 a.m. Wailua Bridge improvements may also take place during work hours in this area.
— KAPAA BYPASS ROAD (ROUTE 5600) —
1) KAPAA
Full closure of Kapaa Bypass Road (Route 5600) between the north entrance with Kuhio Highway and Olohena Road beginning Monday, Dec. 5 through Friday, Dec. 9 from 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. for grass and tree trimming.
— WAILUA MARINA ACCESS ROAD —
1) WAILUA (WEEKEND WORK)
Full closure of Wailua Marina Access Road in both directions between mile marker 5.74 to 5.75 on Saturday Dec. 3 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for drill rig erection for Wailua bridge repairs project. Access to Wailua Marina Access Road will be shut down while crews deliver pipes and erect the drill rig for this project. Detour will be in place for motorists wanting to enter the Waialua Marina area.
