--Multiple agencies respond to single-engine aircraft crash Thursday--
LĪHU‘E – Multiple agencies responded to an aircraft crash near the Līhu‘e Airport in Līhu‘e on Thursday.
Two individuals sustained injuries and were transported to Wilcox Medical Center in stable but serious condition.
According to a preliminary report, shortly before 12:10 p.m., first responders were dispatched to the Līhu‘e Airport in Līhu‘e after receiving reports of an aircraft crash in the area.
Personnel with the Kaua'i Fire Department Līhu‘e fire station, Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF), American Medical Response, and the Kaua'i Police Department responded to the incident.
The public is urged to avoid the area.
The Federal Aviation Administration is leading the investigation.More details will be provided as they become available.
